Well this post serves two purposes 1) I said to one of my friends here in blogland that I would post some pics of the sea so because I only have to go to the bottom of the road to see the sea I did! Which leads neatly to the other reason and that is I love digital photography and have two reasonably good cameras and yet I spend a good deal of time searching the net for images! Now that's not going to stop but there is going to be more of my own photos on the blog as suggested by yet another friend and if that means more posts well that's ok - I think!!

I too live close to or on the ocean. I am 3 blocks up the hill and I tell ya the view we have is spectacular and at times I have to pinch myself to tell me it's really real...funny looking at your last pic with the reflection of the sun on the water my itunes started to play Shine On You Crazy Diamond. HOW APPROPRIATE!!
Funny when we have beauty right in front of us, we still have to look elsewhere. Guilty as charged. Maybe I will do my next post on that. Thanks for the great idea...have an awesome bitchin day!
;o)
Stunning.
I just love that waves crashing into that old historic wall.
Simply gorgeous.
Love the photos!
Lucky you for living near the ocean. :)
I'm SOOOOO jealous of you!!!! SO JEALOUS!!!! Have I told you that yet?!?!
We live about 15 minutes away from a lake! WOW!!!! Yeah, that's really exciting for us! I'm Jealous!!!
I also agree, that you should be posting more pics that you take...since you do take great ones...and speaking of pics, where is the "freebird" one from? I LOVE that one as well!!!
Take care!!!
HUGS!!!!!
(am I the only one who caught this, or are you moderating your comments)...BUT!
you said:
which leads neatly to the other reason and that is I love digital photography...
Umm, what is the FIRST reason?
OH eff me!
I am a gutter-minded perv! i totally took the sentence out of context! HAHA I thought you were saying there are two reasons you love digital photography! HAHAHA
Wow, that is incredible. I imagine that would be amazing to see that any time you wanted!
~xo
Isn't it calming living by water!!!
Ok...I just caught on to the "other" reason you like digital from ~d's comment...duh!
Jillie I've seen your post - it's better than mine I'll have to do another one!! Maybe on song titles or just Floyd tracks!!
Lovely words, nicely put jillie! Thank you!
Oh yes Ice and local for me, though I had to travel a little bit further for jillie's Shine on you Crazy diamond! Thanks for the visit
Hey big pissy thanks, technically the Irish Sea but it's 'big water' all the same.
Oh Kim don't be jealous! Look at the mountains and rural ares near you we only have little hills and just like fields!
Kim first again to ask about Freebird over to the right and up a bit yes that Freebird! That is one of my own bestest bestest photos ever....January 1990 Grand Canyon, US of A about 15 minutes after discovering who I really was! Tell you about it one day but thanks a lot!
HUGS (AGAIN)
~d there are probably loads more than two reasons why I do like digital photography, that wasn't the point right there but I do like your gutter minded perverted view.
However saying eff me in a comment may just be too arousing for some 50 year old bof's that are moderating comments.
As ever ~d thanks for the visit.
Cya soon.
Tracey wow yes you're so right and with two tides a day and all the shifting sands and wind nobody could ever take two identical pictures, there's something really cool about that. Thanks as ever, you were after all partly to blame!! nice 1
jillie behave!
Lee ann - your post was the other part of the inspiration for this post. Thank you. Without playing it down though because it is beautiful and great to be able to see it whenever there are things that you pass every day or are able to see whenever that I would find beautiful. Guarantee it. Beauty is around us BG.
HEY! at least I said 'eff me' and not (you know) the REAL F word!
(smile)
