Hey Doc yes there's a lot of babble going on especially on Merseyside because Liverpool was a main centre to the slave trade. There was even some radical sort of ideas that some street names were changed....The story needs telling as it was and then we will make sure that we have all learned the lessons properly. But like you I agree if before 1957 it ain't my fault!
Ice, tk and Jillie together. Wow tell me I'm dreaming!
Thanks all for the visit and comments and Jillie slow down girl you've only just got your second leg back. You'll need a nurse as much as I do!
I am Simon and I live for photography and travel preferably together!
There is more but it's not important! There are other blogs and Facebook but why don't you just e mail me if you want any of those things - or anything else if it comes to that!!

There are a couple of articles in today's Toronto Star about the Merseyside Maritime Museum and how Britain is 'searching its soul' over slavery.
I figure anything that happened before 1943 is not my fault...I take total responsibility for the big snowfall of 1944.
Good Job on the pics ;-)
My personal fav, of course, is the EGG one :)... its hilarious!
Thanks for the nice comments at my place - You have a good weekend too, EB!

Got my Sunday Star.
They're still weeping about slavery.
My grandfather on my mother's side was born in 1893 in St. Helen's.
Came to Canada in 1913...never owned a slave in his life.
My father (the Geordie) came to Canada in 1930. No slaves but did have several Italians working for him.
A lot of weeping going on Doc, won't change anything though thanks for the Canadian angle though.
