Opened in 1958 the Stardust stood proud on the Las Vegas skyline. It was frequented by Vegas mobsters who made it the first casino in the world that was open to the masses.
Only in Las Vegas could the demolition of a building as big as this be made in to such a big event. Fireworks galore, crowds of people, a countdown in flames and the eyes of the world's media.

At 01.30 Vegas time this morning Stardust turned to Dust!

and all that is left is dust and the space that can be developed in to another huge resort costing $4bn!
Wouldn't have meant that much to me really if it hadn't been just a month ago that we were in Vegas staying at Circus Circus which is the hotel that you can see in the background in pics 4 & 5! At least twice a day we passed the 'demolition site' and I took the pictures, shown above, so the world is getting very very small or so it seems to us all at WILKONEWS!

On an almost unrelated matter - am I the only person that loses his patience with doing things backwards on blogger?
How silly to have to say, the pictures that if like normal people you have already seen.......?

AWW :(

Damn... once ya get old... ya get your ballz ripped off and are replaced!~

haha... it reminds me of this dude I saw on Dr. Phil once... he was an oldguy(like 75) who was all about T&A... so he said that he said to his wife many years ago that when she turned 40 he'd be trading her in for 2-20's. lol!

She got a makeover on that show and looked as hot as a 50-60 yr old could (boobs, hair etc) and the old geezer was happy :)

40 for 2-20's, hahahahhaaha.
