CIRQUE DU SOLEIL IN VEGAS........

Before we went, when we said we were going to see all 5 resident shows in Las Vegas of Cirque du Soleil we did get one or two strange looks! Although incredibly popular amongst certain eccentric groups of people they are not necessarily recognised as a global brand so to speak by an awful lot of people in this country.
We had been at Las Vegas airport for less than 20 minutes when we had seen a clip of all 5 of the shows that we had come to see!
There are tv screens ALL over the place all selling the wares of Sin City including obviously in the airport. Clips of all the shows of course included all 5 of the Cirque shows. These screens are of course more visible at all the different venues of the shows.
It would have been impossible to go down the Strip between Treasure Island and MGM Grand without seeing the adverts for all the shows we went to. It would be equally impossible not to know that Cirque had 5 shows on in Vegas and had you not known anything at all about Cirque before you went to Vegas you would certainly know about them by the time you left.
You don't have to see the shows and they are not the most popular Vegas shows, though The Beatles - Love is breaking a lot of house records at The Mirage and is Cirque's most recent show on The Strip but when we said the same thing to people in Vegas about why we were there they all had at least heard about them and most had seen at least one of them and had an opinion on them all including one taxi driver originally from The Bronx in New York who explained to us why he didn't like Zumanity, despite it quite fittingly been shown at New York New York - "All that men kissing stuff, it's all a bit gay for me!"
