Five Fave Food Places, yeah yeah tagged again!!

Oh my god tagged again this time by Lee Ann with the food meme.
The rules:1. Add a direct link to your post below the name of the person who tagged you. Include the city/state and country you’re in.
Nicole (Sydney, Australia)
velverse (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia)
LB (San Giovanni in Marignano, Italy)
Selba (Jakarta, Indonesia)
Olivia (London, England)
ML (Utah, USA)
Lotus (Toronto, Canada)
tanabata (Saitama, Japan)
Andi (Dallas [ish], Texas, United States)
Todd (Louisville, Kentucky, United States)
miss kendra (los angeles, california, u.s.a)
Jiggs Casey (Berkeley, CA, USA! USA! USA!)
Lee Ann (Birmingham, AL, United States)
EBEZP (Wirral, Merseyside, UK)

2. List out your top 5 favorite places to eat at your location.

Peeps in blogland may or may not know that 2006 the little town where I live, Hoylake, hosted golf's premiere event in the UK, The British Open as aresult of that all the pubs, bars and restaurants upgraded their menus and facilities. As well as 7 places were it is just take away, 9 pubs that do food there are 11 restaurants. I can say I've been to them all over the years but you are all more than welcome when you visit me to try out what in my opinion are the best five as follows (best is to be defined not as cheapest but representing best value for money) I haven't linked them and the prices given are average for one person and of course in UK pounds!

1. The Greek Taverna. Bit obvious that this one would be here because I live above it! It's not the reason that it is here and neither is it the one I've visited most, which you'd think it would be, but the atmosphere especially on the special Greek Nights is amazing. Me and the owner have one thing in common that is we both have the same landlord! We always get a good deal down there but at about 18 a head for freshly prepared genuine greek food it's tremendous value

2. The Ming Dynasty is the best of the Chinese restaurants by a long way and the best Crispy Duck I've ever had. The superior banquet for a minimum of 4 people costs 28 per head and that includes a bottle of Indian (?) beer! I challenge any party to finish everything!

3. The Hoylake Lights is one of a pub chain,
J.D.Wetherspoons of which there are 5 in the immediate area. This is chosen because of the consistency within the chain and the variety of food and menus available. From 9am to 10pm every single day from just a coffee and a panini through full breakfasts to full menus. Also cheaper versions of the featured menus in special offers such as 2 for £7 or full meal and a free drink. Ranging from 3.50 to 12 per person.

4. The Green Lodge is a pub with a large seperate restaurant and has actually bought itself out of a chain and is now run as an independent, free house. Specialises in steak meals and the service is second to none with an extensive wine list, this because of its proximity to the Royal Liverpool Golf Course was the busiest when the golf was on and remains popular especially through the summer months. The average 3 course meal will cost 24 per person and the wine starts at 12 a bottle.

5. Finally The Boulevard Restaurant was formally known as Ruby's is the place for the more unusual of menus. Shrimp kebabs and marinated steaks, probably the most expensive of these mentioned but they won't rush you and the food is worth the wait. They do also do an 'early doors' menu at 12 per head which is tremendous value though you will be rushed over that! Average price about 30 and includes a glass of wine or a bottle of beer.

3. Tag 5 other people (preferably from other countries/states) and let them know they’ve been tagged.Ok...I tag Cathy, Mona, Erin, Sugar Smacks, & Jillie

Enjoy it peeps, I did it's really quite fun, so BG you are off the hook!..........For the moment!!

I was thinking the Green Lodge sounded the best, but then Ming Dynasty sounds pretty good. Well, maybe the Boulevard Restaurant, but then again genuine Greek food sounds pretty good too.
I am sure "the company" would make it even better AM.
Thanks for the insight....now I am hungry!

Oh. Hi Jane. I keep running into you all over the blasted place.

EBEZP: PLEASE do not be mad at me, but alas, I must pass on the meme! I am up to my armpits as guest blogger on one site and knee deep in the regular you-know-what over at my place.

This of course has no bearing on my undying love for you and everything you stand for!

Eternally yours,

Ms. Erin O'Brien

I finished my 5 favorite restaurants meme, now I just have to find a way to post it - as of last week my browser is unworkably obsolete (Internet Explorer 5; it was officially obsolete two years ago for Macs).

I forgive you for the tag EBEZP...
