More Open

The crowds over the week, an English record of 230,000, were knowledgeable, impeccably behaved, and only surpassed in number by the 2000 Open at St Andrews. They relished every moment of the action - it certainly won't be another 39 years before the Open graces Royal Liverpool.
As Tiger Woods said: "I think Hoylake is a fantastic test. With the golf course being this fast, it lent itself to just amazing creativity.
"Granted, if you would have had easier pins I'm sure it would have gone lower, but these are the most difficult pins I've ever seen at an Open Championship."
As to whether the event should return to Royal Liverpool, Tiger's response was an emphatic "yes". Posted by Picasa
