NOT HERE

THERE WILL BE NO POSTING ON THIS SITE FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS.
I AM EMOTIONALLY AND MENTALLY
SOMEWHERE ELSE
HOWEVER THE GUTTER PRESS AND
ARE OPEN AS USUAL

Somewhere else by Razorlight

You're an emotional wreck
You don't know who you are
You never say what you mean
And you keep your mouth shut
And your night stays still
And then you come and call on me
You say I just can't help myself
I really, really wish I could be
Somewhere else than here
And I met a girl
She asked me my name
I told her what it was
She looked at me
I tried to explain
Exactly what I'd lost
But now I just can't help myself
I really, really wish I could be
Somewhere else than here
You give me everything I need
But I really, really wish I could be
Somewhere else than here
Just anywhere else
Just anywere else than here
And I won't forget
No, I won't forget
No, I won't forget
When I saw you there
It was the first time
And you just walked on by
I was catching the sparks
That flew from your heels
Trying to catch your eye
But that was somewhere else
Yeah somewhere else, somewhere else
I really, really wish I could be
Somewhere else, somewhere else, somewhere else
I really, really wish I could be
Cause I just can't help myself,
I really, really wish I could be
Somewhere else than here
And no, I just can't help myself
I really, really wish I could
I've got everything I need
I really, really wish I could be
Somewhere else, somewhere else, somewhere else
I really, really wish I could be
Thank you for your comments I will be round to all of you later in the week!

CHINESE PROVERBS

I think it is absolutely amazing that some of these date back to the
6th Century BC. All of them are as true now as they were then. There are literally hundreds of them, so here's just a few:

Good luck seldom comes in pairs but bad things never walk (occur) alone.
The soldier who retreated 50 paces jeered at the one who retreated 100 paces.

Fight poison with poison.
Tiger father begets tiger son.
Man's schemes are inferior to those made by heaven.
If you have money you can make the ghosts and devils turn your grind stone.
You want your horse to look good but you also want it not to have to eat grass.
There is no wave without wind.
You cannot push a cow's head down unless it is drinking water by it's own will.
The arrogant army will lose the battle for sure.
Tens of thousands of bones will become ashes when one general achieves his fame.
If you are in a hurry you will never get there.
The crafty rabbit has three different entrances to its lair.
Use attack as the tactic of defense. Set yourself as the standard.
When you have musk, you will automatically have fragrance.
You cannot fight a fire with water from far away.
Paper cannot wrap up a fire.
Men should worry about fame just as pigs about being fat.

Even the most resourceful housewife cannot create miracles from a rice less pantry.

Here's my personal favourite.....
Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength; loving someone deeply gives you courage.

Which is your favourite?

HAPPY SATURDAY!

TAKE A PEBBLE

TAKE A PEBBLE, EMERSON, LAKE AND PALMER

Just take a pebble and cast it to the sea,
Then watch the ripples that unfold into me,
My face spill so gently into your eyes,
Disturbing the waters of our lives.

Shread of our memories are lying on your grass;
Wounded words of laughter are graveyards of the past.
Photographs are grey and torn, scattered in your fields
Letters of your mem'ries are not real.

Sadness on your shoulders like a wornout overcoat
In pockets creased and tattered hang the rags of your hope.
The daybreak is your midnight; the colours have all died.
Disturbing the waters of our lives, of our lives, of our lives, lives,
lives, lives...
Of our lives.

"A small trouble is like a pebble. Hold it too close to your eye
and it fills the whole world and puts everything out of focus. Hold
it at a proper distance and it can be examined and properly
classified. Throw it at your feet and it can be seen in its true
setting, just one more tiny bump on the pathway of life."

MAD ON HER!!

Live Earth day to me was always going to be the day that MADONNA was going to rock the entire world from the Wembley stage and I was not wrong!!

24 MINUTES THAT SHOOK MY WORLD!!

Here are some screen captures from Madonna's performance at Live Earth - where she performed Hey You, (written by Madonna especially for the live earth concert. Hear it by clicking HERE) Ray Of Light, La Isla Bonita (with Eugene Hutz and Sergey Ryabtsey of New York's gypsy punk band Gogol Bordello) and Hung Up.

'If you wanna save the planet, I wanna see you jump up and down!' said Madonna as she took things up a notch for 'Ray Of Light' armed with her guitar. 'Come on, motherf*ckers! Jump!'

Gogol Bordello

Thanks to Madonnalicious.com for the screen shots.

Think because Madonna just oozes sex appeal from every pore she may well be on THE GUTTER PRESS as well.
